16.Littering, Environmental Protection and Wildlife
Â
Our accommodation is located within a beautiful countryside setting that supports a wide range of local wildlife. We ask all guests to help us protect the environment and respect the surrounding area at all times.
Littering is strictly prohibited anywhere on the property or surrounding land. All rubbish must be placed in the bins provided or taken away with you where appropriate.
Â
This includes, but is not limited to:
Â
-
Discarding food, leftovers, fruit, bread, or any other food items on the ground.
-
Throwing food waste into hedgerows, fields, woodland areas, or other natural spaces.
-
Leaving rubbish, packaging, bottles, cans, cigarette ends, or similar waste outside designated bins.
Â
Food waste can attract rodents and other pests, disrupt local wildlife, and may cause serious harm to animals that consume unsuitable food or become entangled in litter.
Â
The use of water balloons is not permitted anywhere on the property. Water balloons create plastic waste that is difficult to collect completely and can pose a risk to wildlife, livestock, and the natural environment.
Â
Guests are expected to leave their pitch and surrounding area clean and free from litter upon departure. Any costs incurred by the owner in removing excessive litter, waste, or environmental contamination caused by guests may be charged to the lead booker. Serious breaches of this policy may result in guests being asked to leave the site and/or being invoiced for any associated clean-up or remediation costs.
